Windows Surface Pro 7 - unable to disable Hyper-VAnswered

Recently, we have had a couple of uses with Surface Pro 7 systems, and nothing will allow Hyper-V to be disabled.

The ‘Turn Windows Features On or Off’ is configured correctly.

It appears to be the limited UEFI access: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/surface/how-to-use-surface-uefi-df2c8942-dfa0-859d-4394-95f45eb1c3f9

It may be related to ‘Secure Boot’, but getting used to disable that is next to impossible…

Any other ideas?

Make sure you've read the recent FAQ updates that cover all the new Windows Features that control Hyper-V (not all of them are named Hyper-V anymore).

All in all, it doesn't matter if the customer is in a VM or not. If they're in a VM, use TurboFloat. This is a solved problem.

The question really is, is there any way to disable Hyper-V is such situations?

Until you have TurboFloat working via your servers it is not an option for us.

And your FAQ does not cover this situation, where access to the Bios (UEFI) is restricted.

The FAQ covers the features they’ll need to uncheck.

Regarding BIOS it depends on the motherboard. We don’t have any Surface Pro 7s on hand. And frankly the settings are named differently for every brand. 🤷🏻‍♂️
