Android and IOS

Does the LIMELM work with Android and IOS apps? I see old threads in 2013 and 2014 that you were adding this but could not find any recent messages.

Thanks in advanceJosh

Hey Josh,

We currently support Windows, Linux, and macOS: https://wyday.com/limelm/help/using-turboactivate/#requirements

FreeBSD support is coming in the next several months.

We plan on releasing Android versions of our products later this year.

We have no plans to ever support iOS (because it's a locked down eco-system -- no way for customers to buy or add apps without going through their iTunes / App Store).

Out of curiosity, why would you want licensing for iOS?

Hello Wyatt,

Okay, so you posted that the Android version would be ready "later this year". We are now in October, and I still don't see anything about Android being supported. Could we get more precise ETA?

Also, there have been numerous times where wyDay said they would support Android (in fact, posts from 2013 and 2014) and still nothing. Is it too much to ask why?

Thanks!

No, unfortunately not. We're still working on better time-infrastructure (guesses and "gut feelings" are useless).

FreeBSD is scheduled to be released soon as part of the 4.1 release. We're cleaning up final regressions found in our stress tests and we're completing documentation. It'll be out ASAP.

We don't publish internal roadmaps. And our roadmaps change and we don't scour the forum to update old posts. If a post is more than a year old and references something we might do then one of 2 things has happened:

1. We've either done it (and just haven't bothered to update some post where it's mentioned obliquely)

2. Or it will come eventually.

For Android in particular a couple of big projects have slipped ahead of Android support mainly because the demand for Android support is so low (and support for these other projects is comparably large). These big releases are coming soon and has been where we've been spending our engineering resources for the past year.

We will support it eventually. We won't commit to a deadline.

Ok, thanks for the insights!
