Just saying my doubt one more time we installed TFS on our client network and i want to run our app from my own network(e.g Wifi) and i am not connected to my client network will this be possible if i configure with https?
Hi we have installed TFS on VM and it got activated when we run our app it is stating unable to access floating server at some address and please check that the address is correct. Also check that you have network access.
Should we be on same network? It can't work on different network of client i tried offline activation also but the issue is same when i connect on same network it is working.
Is there any chance we can be on different network and run our app?
Of course you can run it in a separate computer.
If you’re using TFS over the internet (not just an intranet) use TFS over https: https://wyday.com/limelm/help/turbofloat-server/#config-https

This stuff isn't magic. If you can't access the network then you can't access a TFS instance on the network.
So, basic network configuration applies. configure the network you're using the TFS instance on so that you can access the network from wherever your apps are running.
