Do you have permission to access the server? Are you using the correct port? Are you using the correct protocol (FTP not SFTP)? Are you using the correct username / password?

I am getting the same error message, reading this post, i checked my permissions, but that is fine I mean I can connect to FTP server using other FTP server. Can you please advice what can be the issue. (My hostname is 202.125.40.91 using which I can connect to FTP and also upload files but not working from wyBuild)

If you're using FTP for your download site then you must type the site in this form:

ftp://username:password@hostname/path/%file%

Then click build wyUpdate and see if it works. If it doesn't work see if you typed the name right, you have permission to access the FTP and the files on it, etc.

thanks for your quick response I tried changing the hostname to mysite.com in FTP but still the error that cant Operation is not allowed on non-connected sockets. Thats strange earlier I was using IP becuase my names servers for site were not transfered but now they are working I can use sitename as hostname and connect with other FTP softwares. But when I go to "Upload the Updates" tab and click on Connect after entering the credentials same which gets me connected to upload the content using another FTP software like WTS, WinSCP etc.

First of all I am sorry had been away for long time, but I tried this one more time here still having the same error. And I read you last post "if you're using FTP for your download site then you must type the site in this form:" so No I am not using FTP site for download I have a domain name that I am using., we had just changed the servers so had to create new wyBuild Project or else it was working earlier with older server, I had followed the video tutotrial to create wyBuild project but still am stuck at it, can you please advice and get me rid of this error.

It sounds like you're getting a different error than the original poster. I need 2 bits of information:

1. Copy and paste the full error you get.
2. Are you getting this error when you're uploading your updates to your server or are you getting this error when you're using wyUpdate or the AutomaticUpdater to download updates?

I am getting this error when I go to Upload the Updates tab, and add new sites, I add the information of the ftp site and try to connect at that moment it gives out the error stated in 1.
