wyUpdate Self UpdateSolved

Hello, I have a problem with the wyUpdate self update. I use wyUpdate & automaticupdater 2.6.11.3 to update my application. AutomaticUpdater executes the wyUpdate with some arguments like: "-server="http://xxx/yyy.wys" -updatepath="http://xxx/"". Everything is OK until I want to update the wyUpdate. If I publish the 2.6.13 version on our servers (it's the 2.6.13 original version), wyUpdate throw the error: "Could not parse the URL "%updatepath%/xys.wyu" - it's either malformed or is an unknown protocol.". The problem is I think that the -updatepath argument is not sent after wyUpdate updates and re-run (I am unable to verify because the wyUpdate closes immediately after the error).

This problem occurs only if I use NT Service (using automaticupdater.dll). If I run the wyUpdate manually with the same arguments as the AutomaticUpdater.dll, everything is OK.

Is your problem with a custom hosted version of wyUpdate and you're using the %updatepath% variable as the download site? Or are you just using the updatepath variable for your updates and it fails when wyUpdate self updates?

A small correction: I use the automaticupdaterbacked (not automaticupdater) since is a windows service.

Sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner. We duplicated this error and we're fixing it along with a few other bugs. We're trying to get a release out by the end of this week.

We've fixed this in wyBuild 2.6.14 now out.

Hello, I am unable to use updatepath variable in the custom hosted url. As you said this should work, but it seams that the wyUpdate ignore my updatepath variable. I set the custom hosted url to http://%updatepath%/xxxxx.wys and the download sites to http://%updatepath%/wyupdate/%file%. The updatepath variable is ignored in both cases using wyUpdate self hosted (if I change to custom hosted url to a static url - whitout updatepath variable - it throws me an error for the download sites).

Could fix this in order to work the updatepath variable in the self hosted url and in the download sites url?

Yes, we'll fix this in either 2.6.15 or 2.6.16

wyBuild 2.6.16 is now out -- this bug is fixed.
