TurboActivate: Offline activation returns TA_FAILAnswered

Hi there,

I have a customer who has trouble activating their license. They have been using our product without issues, but have all come across the same problem recently. 

The activation initially failed with code 36 (0x24). All I could find was an old thread where the reply was more or less to tell their IT to fix their proxy servers. Okay, we asked them to look into this, but haven't heard back.

In the meantime, I advised them to use the offline activation. However, that failed with TA_FAIL. Since we have never seen that error before, I was wondering if there is something we can do to get at least the offline activation working. 

We are also in the process of rolling out the latest TA version, but are hoping for a hotfix for this problem.

Answer

TurboActivate.h shows you what every error code is and what it means.

Tell them to fix their date, time, and timezone. Save the changes. Restart their machine.

Then have them try again.

Also, yes, use the latest version of TA.
