Suggested AWS service to host TFSAnswered
Hi,
I wonder if there is a suggested AWS service for our customers to host a TurboFloat Server on? The Lightsail[1] service comes with a static IP and is plenty and cheap for what TFS would seem to need. Is this service along the lines of what WyDay would recommend? Or is there another AWS service that is more appropriate? Bit of an AWS newbie here, so any handholding appreciated.
Too bad the WyDay hosted licensing is not available yet, but our customers need to get their work done and can't wait for it.
Yep you could do that. There are unintended side-effects to allow activations on VMs (AWS is just a giant virtual machine – yes, it's more complicated, but that's a good macro-way to look at it). This is talked about ad-nauseum in the forum and in our docs.
But so long as they never restart the VM, they shouldn't have any problems.
