Some guy provides the detailed steps for cracking our software that is protected by LimeLM 4.096. (Their method works for all software based on LimeLM ! They just copy the license file to the hidden folder created by LimeLM.)
So we upgrade to V4.3. However, based on the comments from users who pirate our software, it seems that copying the license file to the LimeLM hidden folder still works on many computers. Could you look at the issue?

PS: I understand that LM cannot stop cracking, but it should make the use of cracked software a bit inconvenient. When users figured out the LimeLM hidden folder, it is just too easy to use any software protected by LimeLM for free. Yes, they know the hidden folder created by LimeLM.

Use verified trials, and use the latest version of TA. That solves the problem of "client-side" resets of unverified trials.

No, it doesn’t.
It seems that, according to the crackers, they know the hidden folder created by LimeLM and the info created by LimeLM in Windows Registry. They manipulate the related Windows Registry (There are tools to easily manipulate the related Windows Registry). To our knowledge, they know the info created by LimeLM in Windows Registry.
Could you encrypt the info created by LimeLM in Windows Registry?

What is software licensing?
Software licensing allows you to get paid for each copy of your software. The types of software licensing come in a few general forms which I'll be covering in the next section. With few exceptions the “hardware-locked” licensing is best for businesses because it allows you to have absolute control over where your software is installed.
The point of licensing isn't to stop crackers from cracking your software. The point of licensing is to increase your revenue by preventing casual piracy (using serials over and over again). There is real money to be made by stopping casual piracy.
