Unable to fix error 28 on customer computer

Hello,

we've previously encountered error 28 before, and generally enabling a network device or network connection fixed it flawlessy, as described in the documentation.

However now a customer is also facing the very same issue. All network devices and connections are enabled, and yet it always returns error 28.

The only unusual thing i could see on the customer pc as i was doing remote help, was a hidden network device, "Ras Async Adapter", which was enabled anyways.

For the moment i issued a 30 days trial key so the user can still work, but this is obviously not the right solution.

Any advice on how we can fix this? The customer has Windows 10 Home and we are running TurboActivate 4.1.9.0, we are planning an update with the next product patch in the next week but i was wondering if there is a solution for this problem in the meantime.

Thank you!

First, make sure they're running the latest version of Windows 10. (Some people insist on disabling updates, and it creates a ton of problems). So verify that first -- it's actually important.

Next, yes, use the latest version of TurboActivate.

Lastly, make sure their network adapter drivers are updated. A simple google search will find them.

Probably the source of the problem. Try uninstalling it.
