Not Activated (error code: 0x3)Solved

Hi,One of our clients recently received the following message

"<error>: Not activated (error code: 0x3). You must activate this TurboFloat Server via commandline like this.."

They had taken down and updated the firmware on the server, and got this message when they bought the server back up. It stopped any users leasing a TurboFloat licence.

The Server in question was a standalone machine, and the issue was resolved by us deactivating their licence and re-activating it.

Any ideas what may have caused this please?

Sometimes BIOS updates can change product names, SKUs, and other things about the baseboard / motherboard, etc. Usually not, but some companies are sloppy.

So, if you were using the latest version (currently TA 4.0.9.7) and this deactivation happened on a real device (not a VM) for those rare sloppy cases the only solution is to remotely deactivate the customer and have them activated again.
