wyBuild Licence tied to Windows User Account?

Hi everyone,

I was curious if the licensing for wyBuild is tied to the Windows User Account it was registered using?

I currently own a license for use with one of the products the company I work for is developing. We use a nANT script to create builds and part of the process is building the wyUpdate files. When I log into our build machine I have no problem running the script, however other users get a message notifying them that the trial period has expired.

Should we just create a global user account and re-register wyBuild or do we need to purchase separate licenses for each developer?

Thanks in advance.

wyBuild is licensed per-developer. If you have 5 developers using wyBuild then you should buy 5 licenses.

Once you've bought licenses for all the developers that will be using wyBuild, you can enter the product key on installation. That is, re-download wyBuild and paste the product key in the installer. wyBuild will now be able to run on all users for that machine.

That doesn't really answer the question: If I have one of my developers leave the compnay, can I take the license from his computer and move it to another?

Right now, yes, you can move license unimpeded. However, in the near future you'll have to first deactivate the copy of wyBuild on Developer A's computer before you can install it on Developer B's computer.

So it would be more like how Adobe handles the CS licenses: I could activate wyBuild on my computer in the office and the deactivate it and re-activate wyBuild on my laptop at home (which is what I would have to do in my case: I work at both home and in the office)

Correct.
