TF_CB_EXPIRED

I understand TF_CB_EXPIRED_INET means that it timed out when trying to reach the TF server.

But what would cause a TF user to periodicly get the callback status TF_CB_EXPIRED?

It can happen in cases where the TFS instance no longer recognizes the lease that the customer has on that user-session.

It happens rarely prior to TFS 4.1. It will happen in more circumstances going forward.

No. That would be "TF_CB_EXPIRED_INET ". It would be cases where the lease is dropped from the TFS. Again, you won't see this often prior to TFS 4.1. In 4.1 and going forward you'll see it more often due to new features and controls introduced.
