Hey Gert-Jan,
The problem with showing the number of deactivations to a user is that it changes. That is, your app can't know how many deactivations exist for a key in an app without requesting that information from our servers in your app.
This means if they're offline this information is unavailable. And if they're online it's available if their networks are properly configured.
The shorter answer is that this information is useful to the customer, but we believe it's not useful in-app. That's why we've been whittling away at LicenseChest for a few years. This will be an free-endpoint for users that want to view their license data (including number of deactivations) without you needing to use our existing web API to do this.
So, even shorter answer: yes this is a good idea, it's just better to have it on the web (either using LicenseChest when it's out later this year, or right now using the web API to make a small front-end for the users)
