How TurboFloat works with named users?

At this link I see it's possible to associate named users to a give TurboFloat key:

This is nice, but unclear to me is how it works. None of the sample apps seem to use this feature, nor do the methods to obtain a lease seem to allow a "user name" input.

I can only guess this is resolved based on logged-in user on the computer, which I then assume is handled in a cross platform way?

Correct. You can optionally set which specific usernames are allowed to obtain "license leases" from the TurboFloat Server, and the TurboFloat Library is smart enough to get the username of the currently logged-in user regardless of the platform.
