There's not nearly enough information to help. If it's a shortcut you created then you need to ensure you set the shortcut to point to a file that exists.
Hello,
After long usage of wyUpdater, got very strange problem. A user from Spain caught the following error when trying to install update:
Acceso denegado a la ruta de acceso 'C:\Users\UserName\SendTo'.
Looks like this shortcut is missing there and updater fails because of that! Can you please check?

The problem is all other users are always able to install program updates. My update project does not contain any files other than those in "Your program's folder". And it was the only user who reported about this error.
I've checked my user folder in Windows (c:\users\username). It indeed contains a shortcut named SendTo. So, could it be that wyUpdater generates error message when such file is missing?
No, we don't touch any file like that. If you're writing to the file, then that would be the only reason wyUpdate would touch it. Also, use our version of wyUpdate, we cannot support custom versions of wyUpdate.
I do not use any custom versions of wyUpdate. And do not write to files like SendTo. I purchased the program, created a project, and it worked well for about 6 months by now. Now I've got such error message only from 1 user (among 200), who wasn't able to install an update. There are no any customizations in my project. It is a simple project where I put all files to the "Your program's folder". And nothing more. That is why I created this ticket here.
OK, then the next thing needed is a way to reproduce this. We cannot reproduce this here.
Is it possible that the user has set a shortcut to your application in the send to menu?

Thank you for joining! Don't think that this could be a case, because there is no sense to put it there, and even if this happened, it won't affect on wyUpdate behavior - I've checked this 🙂
