If one tries to -deact while the TurboFloat server is running, the following cryptic message is given: 2017-12-18, 22:38:00 <error>: You can only run one instance of this floating license server at a time.
Would be good if a more suitable message (eg, "cannot deactivate while server is running -- terminate it first") were given.
This is on Linux, btw, but probably on other systems as well.
We don't think that's a very cryptic message. You're starting a new instance while another instance is running. The fact that the new instance you're starting is being used to deactivate the TFS is incidental.
We'll consider changing the way it's phrased, but it's fairly straight forward right now.
You are right in that it is not "very" cryptic, but it is QUITE cryptic, confusing, and causes your users to waste time.
