TA_E_INET on Mac

Hello,

I have an application using TurboActivate and it's not activating on my Mac. It activated correctly on a Windows machine on the same network.

Running Wireshark on the Mac showed it was contacting the wyday.com server and getting to "Certificate, Server Key Exchange, Server Hello Done" but seems to have ended with a TLS Alert (Level: Fatal, Description: Close Notify)

What else should I be looking at?

Thanks

Erik

Hi,

A couple of system details. OS X 10.9.5, Turboactivate 4.0.9.6 (failed with 4.0.3 as well)

Erik

Hey Erik,

Did you follow the FAQ on the issue (running in Safari first): https://wyday.com/limelm/help/faq/#internet-error

TurboActivate uses libCurl, which on macOS 10.9, 10.10, and above uses Apple's Secure Transport and the system CACerts.

Hi Wyatt,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did try reaching https://wyday.com using Safari and was successful. Also Firewall is off and no malware/filter/proxy/etc installed on that machine. Rebooting the machine into Safe Mode (which I did to clear up some font issues and apparently resets a number of things) seems to have fixed things. At least I'm able to activate with that machine now.

So, if people are having trouble with TA_E_INET on Mac perhaps booting to Safe Mode can help clear up the issue.

Many thanks,

Erik

Ok, so it sounds like other software on the computer was interfering with TA's ability to talk to the servers. TurboActivate does not function differently in or out of safe mode.
