In windows 10 getting error index and length must refer to a location within the string

I have used wyupdate in my project.I am getting some calls from the customer that when they install the software in windows 7 they are not getting any error message but for some users in windows 10 the below error is coming i.e.

index and length must refer to a location within the string. Parameter name: length
