More info from a TA_Fail from TA_ActivateFromFile

We have a client with no internet access that is reporting they are getting a Failure from the activation file we sent them in response to their request file. Is there anyway to get more information on why it is failing?

No, we need more information. TA_ActivateFromFile() provides an error code when it fails. What was it?

Also, are you using the latest version of TurboActivate?

What platform is the customer on? Windows / Linux / macOS? What version? What bitness (x86/x64/ARM)?

They are actually getting TA_FAIL (1). This particular version of our application is still using the 3.X version of TurboActivate.

I will get more particulars on the environment, but our applications only run on Windows, so likely to be Windows 7.

Well, first piece of advice would be to update to the latest version of TurboActivate. It's probably a bug that has already been fixed.

In the meantime, have them re-generate the activation request, have them send it to you, and have them activate only on that machine with that file. And have them do it in a reasonable amount of time.

But long term solution: use the latest version of TurboActivate. We've fixed a ton of bugs since 3.x
