Double clicking associated file after update prompts installation

We use InstallShield to create an msi for our application.During installation we associate a file extension to our application.When double clicking at a file with this extension, our application starts and loads the file.We also use wyUpdate to update to new versions.After the update has finished, the application works as expected.However, when double clicking the same file it prompts the installation instead of opening the application and loading the file.Any ideas what is going on?
