Network AdaptorSolved

I am getting problem in activating licence. It gives error related to network adaptor. Local area network is not being seen in my computer. I tired lot of solution but dont know why it is not seen in my computer. Is there any way to activate licence without network adaptor?

Looking forward for your reply. Thanks

What operating system are you running on? (Windows? Mac?, Linux?

What version of the operating system?

What version of TurboActivate are you using? If you're not using 4.0.3, then use that. You can see the version by right clicking TurboActivate.dll, clicking "Properties", and clicking the "Details" tab.

Get the latest version here: https://wyday.com/limelm/api/

More information about network adapters here: https://wyday.com/limelm/help/faq/#disabled-adapters

I am using Windows7 ultimate 64 bit.I am using turboactivate 4.0.3 version.I just want know that limelm can work without network adaptor. As it is not seen in "Change adaptor setting"

Thanks

Nope, on Windows, TurboActivate doesn't require the computer to have any network device. However, if it does have network device it does require them to be enabled. Again, this is explained here: https://wyday.com/limelm/help/faq/#disabled-adapters

Does your computer not have network devices? I'm not quite sure what problem you're trying to solve. You don't even have to keep them enabled at all times: https://wyday.com/limelm/help/faq/#remembers-adapters

Also, if you run your app, or the TurboActivate Wizard as admin, TurboActivate will temporarily enable the network adapters and then put them back in whatever state they were in.

When i run TurboActivate.exe with "run as administrator". It is giving error.Activation ErrorThere are network adaptors on the system that are disabled and turboactivate couldn't read their hardware properties.(even after trying and failing to enable the adapters automatically). Enable the network adapters, re-run this wizard and turboactivate will be able to "remmeber" the adapters even if the adapters are disabled in the future. Note: The network adapters do not need an active internet connections. They just need to not be disabled. Whether they are or are not connected to the internet.intranet is not important.

When i tried to enable as per link you have sent. In "Change adapter setting" i could not find any ethernet adapter or Local area network so that i can enable it.

What should i do, i can not understand.

Please help me.

Thanks.

1. Remove all instance of TurboActivate.dll and TurboActivate.exe from your computer.

2. Download TurboActivate 4.0.3.0, from here: https://wyday.com/limelm/api/

3. Extract the files TurboActivate.exe and TurboActivate.dll files somewhere, put your TurboActivate.dat in the same folder.

4. Run TurboActivate.exe as administrator.

5. Does it work? If not, then we need more information. Namely:

a) A screenshot of the TurboActivate.dll version details (File -> Properties -> Details). To make sure you're actually running the latest version (from the behavior you're describing it sounds like you're using an old version).

b) A screenshot of your Network Connections control panel.

I'm having the same issue. Half the systems on the network won't activate. I'm not sure your approach is viable since it is likely to cause additional support problems. Your thoughts? How should I send the snapshots of the .dll, etc.?

Send them to support@wyday.com. Also, make sure you're using the latest version of TurboActivate (currently 4.0.3).

Thanks for letting me remote-debug this on one of your machines. We've released 4.0.4 that fixes this bug. You can get it here: https://wyday.com/limelm/api/

Hi there,

I have this problem even after using 4.0.4... It is only on one machine that this problem persists (all pc's use the same wi-fi network) and I have tried disabling and then enabling the different network adapters (bluetooth, cellular, ethernet and wi-fi) with no luck.

This is driving me nuts... Is there anything else I could be missing?

I am running a Lenovo T550 with Windows 10 64-bit professional using wi-fi to connect to the internet.

Hey Craig,

Can you give TurboActivate 4.0.5.1 a try and tell us if it fixes things. If not, we'll have to take a closer look at your system.

You can get the latest version of TurboActivate here: https://wyday.com/limelm/api/#turboactivate

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have just tried 4.0.5.1 but no luck - same error message.

Hey Craig,

Can you shoot me an email at [snip]? I'll send you some commands to run, and then if that doesn't help, one of us might have to do a remote debug to see what's going on with that machine (and see if we can make TurboActivate work around whatever problem it is).

I've just run into this same problem with a secure laptop.  It has no network adapters when you go into Network Connections Control Panel.  Using TurboActivate 4.3.2.0.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

First of all, use the latest version (see the FAQ, API page, and everywhere else where we explicitly say that we don't provide support anything but the latest version).

Secondly, what brand of laptop is it that it doesn't have built-in network adapters?

Lastly, if you're not actually a customer of ours (that is, you're really a customer of one of our customers) we can't provide support to you. Report your problems to the company whose software you're using and they will provide you with updated libraries and help.

I've gone ahead and updated to the latest because I knew you'd request that,.

I have no idea what brand of computer it is that the US government is buying, but their IT guys are apparently removing all network adaptors.  If I had to guess, I would say it's a newer machine that has no physical ethernet port and only a removeable wireless module.

My company is actually a customer of yours, but I'm not currently logged into that account because I don't get get notified of your responses if I post that way.

The good news is that the customer was able to acquire a laptop that still had a physical NIC in it that he was able to enable for the licensing to go thru.
