Optimizing and Executing files are hanging in windows 8 and windows 10

Hi,

I am using standard wyupdate.exe for applying the patch. I noticed one thing in windows 8 and windows 10 wyupdate.exe is hanging in "optimizing and executing files" ant it is not responding even i click cancel. Only one way to cancel is task manager.Note: There is not problem in windows 7 for this.

This is because of i used "optimize .Net assemblies using NGEN" ?

Please help me on this ASAP. I have a release for my product.

Yes, NGEN is incredibly slow, and offers little benefit. Uncheck that, click Apply, then rebuild your updates.
