Multiple products on TFS on same address & port

Hi,

Is it possible to have a TurboFloat setup where the server manages more than one product. For example can we have a TFS key that grants a customer say 5 floating licences for Product A and 7 floating licences for Product B?

Or is there another way to achieve this?

Thanks

Not from a single instance of the TurboFloat Server. Not currently, at lease (not with TFS 3.x or the upcoming 4.0).

You can, however, install multiple instances of the TurboFloat Server on the same computer.

Thanks.

So does the product application automatically get diverted to the correct TFS instance when it requests a floating licence?

No, currently, with TFS 3.x and the upcoming 4.0, each TFS instance will need to be started on a dedicated port if it's installed on the same machine.

We do plan to allow multiple products and versions on the same instance of the TurboFloat Server in the future. Just not in 4.0 (probably in a 4.x release).

I'd just like to +1 this request; we have multiple products for which we hope to support floating licenses, and it'd be great if we could instruct our customers to install just one licensing server.

+1 also for me (more than 1 year later)

This is low priority. Multiple TFS instances can already be run on a device. And we'll be introducing hosted TFS instances very soon (making spinning up new TFS instances cheap and easy). More information here once it's released: https://wyday.com/licensechest/help/create-tfs-instance/
