If I allow VM (not an option with large studios to not let them do that, they all use Linux dockers), when I go to Edit Product Key in wyday SKU page it resets disallow VM instead of keeping the current set status. This has caused a techsupport SNAFU here…
Answer
This is by design. When editing TFS keys in the interface, with VM activations allowed it automatically corrects the setting to disallow VMs.
You can change it back in the interface, but this was a deliberate choice to reduce foot-guns.
Maybe we'll also put a “strobing” warning that we changed the setting allow users to change it back.
But really no one should be running TFS instances in VMs.
