AutomaticUpdater - No GUID, invisible when running

Hi,we're currently evaluating wyBuild with WPF before a purchase. The issue is with AutomaticUpdater, same behaviour on two different PCs.

There are two (possibly related) issues:- In the Properties tab, the expected GUID property is non-existent.- After launching the application, we expected some icon to show up, but the place is empty.

Facts:- We added the correct .dll intended for WPF and .NET 4.0- We're using .NET 4.5.2 in Visual Studio Community 2015

Here is a screenshot from Visual Studio with a sample application just using AutomaticUpdaterhttp://imgur.com/PRXfuCh- No GUID in the bottom right.

Here is a screenshot of the window after running ithttp://imgur.com/ozRpih7- Icon invisible- That little blip shows up when I try to click in the general area where I expect the icon to be

This question did not answer?

There seems to be an issue with newer version of Visual Studio that the WPF version of the AutomaticUpdater control included with the currently released version of wyBuild don't show the GUID property.

We'll have a fixed version in the next version of wyBuild.

In the meantime use wyUpdate in standalone mode: https://wyday.com/wybuild/help/silent-checking.php

The link you posted there's extra character at the end of it. Here's the correct link:

Hi,

Will the next version solve this for the latest VS 2017 as well? Because we would really like to use the autoupdater in our program, but it's written in C# using visual studio 2017 and obviously the current version of autoupdater doesn't work, so right now we are using the stand alone option with the popup screens, etc.

This is a great product by the way. 🙂

Thanks!Bill R

Will this error ever be fixed?

Is there really a new version of this product?

Although we like the product, we are already being forced to find other solutions for the subject, preferably being kept up to date.

Yes. Covered multiple times in this forums. Not going into it again. It's coming. ASAP.
