Windows 10 dev feature - ubuntu bash directly

Hello,

We have been contacted by the customer who is trying to use our software on Windows 10 with new feature - ubuntu bash.It is not a virtual machine, but it seems TA has a problem to get proper hardware fingerprint (We do not have much information right now).

Have anyone else tried it? Testing this feature requires special Microsoft account on Windows 10.Is it possible, that TA 4.0 will be ready for this?

Thanks for answer.

We haven't tested Bash for Windows yet (because it's a Beta feature in an Insider build). Presumably it works similar to a regular Ubuntu instance (sans GUI). Which also means they won't be able to run Windows apps from the bash.

We'll likely test things before we release TA 4.0. Although if there are problems, we'll likely wait until a bugfix release because this is a beta feature in Windows -- it's not meant for production yet.

We've got an answer from our customer.

The activation process will fail on calling CheckAndSavePKey, with return value TA_FAIL.

Do you have some new information regarding this issue?Have you been able to find a way to test this feature?
