VPN Port Forwarding

Hi Wyatt,

One of our clients is having troubles using the TurboFloat License Server. They have the following setup:The TurboFloat License Server is running on a virtual machine. Now they want users to get leases outside the network via VPN. When users request a lease with the VPN IP and a specific port, their internal server forwards to the actual TurboFloat license server port.

Long story short, everything works inside the network, but not if they use the server via VPN! Their license is already allowing Virtual machines. Is there anything else TurboFloat might be disallowing, like port forwarding?

Thank you!

Hey Martin,

The TurboFloat Server doesn't disable port forwarding. This is a problem with their network. Either the traffic is never reaching the TurboFloat Server, or it is, and the "response" is never getting back to the client computer. Either way, this is a problem with the customer's network. The should use some networking tools to dig into exactly what they've misconfigured.
