Hi, I am considering LimeLM for a software suite where customers can by the software “forever” but also book into some service contract. If they book into the service contract they will receive two free major revision upgrades per year.

My question is: How do I support that free upgrade as seamlessly as possible to my customers and myself? I would think I need to create new versions in LimeLM dashboard (so 2025A, 2025B, 2026A, 2026B) etc. But what then? Can I associate a product key with different version? Or something else?

Edit: I am preferring TurboActivate opposed to TurboFloat.

This type of problem (time based licensing) is what custom license fields were made for: https://wyday.com/limelm/help/license-features/

So create a single product version and limit when they can no longer receive free updates using a date/time field.
