Windows 10 Random Hardware Addresses option

Hi,

Today we had a customer with a strange problem. The software would work on one wireless network, but if he connected to a different network the software would ask for a product key. Changing back to the first network the program would start fine.

After comparing hardware summaries, we found the mac address of the wireless card was changing. The reason for this is the new 'Random Hardware Addresses' function of Windows 10. This function only works with new wireless card that support this function.

Is it possible for TuroboActivate to support this function in a new version?

We changed the way TurboActivate reads network cards in version 4.0 to fix a number of bugs and workaround odd user-behavior. So, it's very likely we fixed this bug already. But we don't have any network cards that support this feature, so we can't test this new functionality.

What type of hardware is the customer using?

Good to hear this is probably fixed in TA 4.

The customer is using a DELL Inspiron 13-7359 with a Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165 as only available network card. If needed, I have a detailed hardware report which I can send you by email.

We'll see if we can get our hands on that adapter and get it to work on one of our computers. We might just have to buy that dell model so we can test this out.
