pricing

1. i have basic plan. so i get 1200 activations. i thought an activation meant that i issued a product key AND it's being used. if the user didn't use the product, in other words, if i sent a product key but it wasn't activated, then it doesn't count toward my activations limit, right?

the reason i'm asking is because my account shows...

Total product keys 951Allocated activations 994

but there's no way i have that many people using my software. i'm trying to figure out what i'm doing wrong and how your pricing works.

2. what's the difference between these 2 numbers? what do they mean? what do they represent?

Total product keys 951Allocated activations 994

3. if i delete product keys, that reduces the activations count toward my limit, right?

4. if i download product keys in bulk but they are not used/activated, that does not count toward my limit, right?

The best place to start is this article: What are Activations & Deactivations?. It answers all of your questions.

No. http://wyday.com/limelm/help/activations/#faq

A product key is that string that's about 30 some odd letters long "ABCD-EFGH-IJKL-...". Each product key can have 1 or more allowed activations.

3. if i delete product keys, that reduces the activations count toward my limit, right?

Yes. http://wyday.com/limelm/help/activations/#faq

4. if i download product keys in bulk but they are not used/activated, that does not count toward my limit, right?

No, they do count.

thank you. that was helpful. but i realize now that i messed up. i created tons of product keys that i'm not using and lost track of. i'd like to 'clean this up.' how do i do that?

i see 2 options, tell me if these make sense, which is easier, and please provide detailed instructions for doing the easiest one.

1. search in my account for all product keys created but not activated. delete them.

2. search in my account for all product keys created but not activated. export them and queue them for use.

thank you.

You can do either. The starting place is to log into your account, look at the right hand side of the page, and click "Search for product keys".

Set the "Number of activations" fields to less than 1 "Used activation", and then click search. Now you can export or delete the product keys that are found.
