"(164) An API key must be used by X devices."Answered

Hi, 

I am getting often following error during license generation of my solo account:

 "(164) An API key must be used by X devices." 

I have already read the reason and workaround here:

Workaround(reset) working fine and I understand the reason behind (I am just allowed to use max 4 different ip addresses for the license request) either but isn't there a better and stable workaround for the problem?

My problem is, that I am using hostinger servers and I recognized that Hostinger assigning another ip address for the license request  in every 2th or 3th request.

My Wyday log output:

SUCCESS :paychecker intiated by 173.0.81.65

SUCCESS :paychecker intiated by 173.0.80.117

And I guess this is the reason that I am getting often this error. I would be grateful for a fast response.

Answer

Use a host with a static IP address. Or, if the host your using has a static IP address option use that.

IP addresses are cheap and LimeLM supports both IPv4 and IPv6 (and has for at least a decade – I'd have to look into it, but it's been a long time, nearly since the beginning).
