Did you see the page that explains all of the wyUpdate commandline options?:
-updatepath="<url>"and-server="<url>"
Does that make sense?
whats the difference between /updatepath and -server arguments when using the command line version of wyupdater please? I'd assume that one would only need the /updatepath argument which points to the actual file location to update from, so what's the -server argument for?thank you

Yes I saw it but it doesn't explain what the difference is. Maybe I should have also added why to the question. My logic (as novice control set user, and not expert control set author who knows the ins and outs of it to the nth degree) isThe server is url where the files are downloaded from eg http://www.mysite.comThe update path is url where the files are downloaded from, I assume including the path. eg http:///www.mysite.com/filestore/myapp_full/So why is there a need for both if updatepath includes the server and the path?
Do you have an example how/why these values might be different?
thank you 🙂
Ignore me, I think I've found the answer to this on "How to prevent or limit updates"
I just need to find info about what the guid info is all about next lol.

What do you mean? The GUID in the AutomaticUpdater or in wyUpdate? In either case, they're what GUIDs are typically for -- uniquely identifying your product for internal purposes.
