Question about Error 17 (TA_E_IN_VM)Answered

I got I lot of complains from users about error 17: "The function failed because this instance of your program  if running inside a virtual machine / hypervisor and you've
prevented the function from running inside a VM."

For some of them I mentioned to do this that you advice on other posts: “turn off (Hyper-V, Windows Hypervisor Platform, Windows Defender Application Guard, Virtual Machine Platform)”. But they still getting that error so it is something else.

I am thinking of just turn on “Allow VM activations? ” for this project.

It is plugin for Adobe Illustrator it will be used on personal computers.

How your machine fingerprint works does it still able to detect that it is unique physical machine below detected virtual machine?

What do you think about this?

If TurboActivate says they're in a VM, then they're in a VM. We err on the side of false negatives (we'd rather incorrectly detect a VM as a real machine then detect a real machine as a VM). But even then, the error rate is low.
