Where are activation files stored?

Hi WyDay,

I am continuing to fight issues where some customers experience seemingly random deactivations. One running theory is that an anti-virus tool is removing the file, causing it to deactivate.

I have two directories for where the file might be stored, but I need to know the exact subdirectory and possibly the filename. Most IT guys are unwilling to add a large swath of folders to their antivirus exceptions list.

It depends on what operating system, what version of TurboActivate, what flags are used (TA_SYSTEM / TA_USER), and a few other things. That's a long way of saying: it depends.

If you tell me the product key for a customer that's using the latest version of TurboActivate (3.4.6) and ...

  1. Activated
  2. After a certain period deactivated
  3. And then re-activated again

You can send me the product key to wyatt@wyday.com and I'll take a look at it.

Will do, thanks Wyatt.
