You need to copy & paste the exact error for us to be able to give any sort of useful advice. A billion things could be going wrong. The error message is needed to narrow down the billion possible things to a small subset (say 1 or 2 things).
I have a production project where I use WyUpdate and it is failing to update. I had to recently format my computer and I noticed that the GUIDs from the project and the WyUpdate project properties were different. I have made them match and re-built the project, but it still won't update. I looked at another project that's not having any issues updating and noticed that those two GUIDs didn't match either, so I changed the GUID of my production project back to what it originally was.
Even so, I can't get the project to update. I have verified my web server (I'm using an internal for many projects) and it is fine. There's some info on the website that says the client.wyc file might be the issue here, so I followed the instructions on the site, but that still hasn't resolved the problem. I'm at a stand-still.
I really need some help getting my project updated or I'm going to have a really big issue. Has anybody run into this type of thing before? How did you solve it?
I have done the following:1) Re-built using client.wyc2) Tried to modify GUIDs - this doesn't seem like it's the issue at all even though they don't match3) Attempted a higher version knowing that the catch-all should work4) Tried to update manually using the WyUpdate.exe5) Checked out the support forums
Any help or guidance you can give me would be much appreciated. I'm trying to avoid building an entirely new GUID for the project.

That's the thing - I'm not getting an error at all.
I did attempt some additional troubleshooting though.
I logged into one of my remote locations and ran the program update from there and it successfully completed.
I threw my computer on Wireshark (it's on the same LAN as the update server). I watched the TCP packets as I started the program and had it check for updates, it wasn't going anywhere or querying the server at all on the TCP level. It sounds like there may be a networking issue I need to sort out, but it used to work on my local LAN without issue.
For now, the issue is resolved and I appreciate your reply. I'll try to determine the exact issue (DNS, Permissions, etc). It's working externally, and that's what's important.
Thank you
