Yes - TurboActivate has smart fingerprinting. See: How hardware-locked licensing works and How the competition does licensing wrong.
For the hardware locking protection offered, does it avoid having to issue a new license every time the hardisk is reformatted or a hardware item that is swappable such as a video card or memory upgrade or hardrive upgrade is altered? Thanks.

Ok, thanks. The other question is is it possible to brand the TurboActivate dialog? When users see the name TurboActivate they know what company produces the locking mechanism, they can Google that term and it's easy to find out info about the protection. That's not good. Genricizing the dialog or protecting the identity of the protection is the first step to effective licensing. What steps can be taken to do that with your product? Ideally we can use TurboActivate but modify the text and caption at a minimum.
Thanks.
The TurboActivate Wizard is just a pre-built wizard using the TurboActivate library. You can customize the TurboActivate Wizard title by using translations. But the TurboActivate.exe meta-data will still say TurboActivate.
So, if you want the TurboActivate Wizard without any sort of identifying information then you'll have to build it yourself using the TurboActivate library. It's not terribly difficult. All you really need is a text box and an "Activate" button. Just let the TurboActivate library handle all of the details.
Thanks for the info. A couple suggestions: allow users to brand the TA dialog themselves. That means put their own caption at the top of the dialog and either point those links at the bottom to a web page to a user defined web page or disable th. Last thing we want is customers to go to the LimeLM website for "privacy" info and a picture of a pirate.

Go to the translations page in LimeLM, change the title and the 2 links, and then use that translation. That's how you set the links, and the title of the TurboActivate wizard.
