ActivateEx() always returning TA_E_EXPIRED

Hello,

I've a strange issue : one of my customer is trying to activate its machine, but ActivateEx() keeps returning TA_E_EXPIRED.The machine clock is set correctly, and what is more strange, is that LimeLM admin reports the machine as activated while it is not.

Is there something else to check with this customer ?

Thank you. Philippe

Hey Philippe,

First, make sure you're using the latest version of TurboActivate. If you're not, then try that first.

Next the following three things must be correct:

  1. The timezone must be correct. (This should be checked and fixed before anything else).
  2. The date must be correct.
  3. The time must be correct.

My guess: the customer is using a version of your app that uses an old version of TurboActivate or their timezone is wrong. Those are the most common mistakes.

Hello Wyatt,

Thank you for your reply.Yes, the first thing I asked, was to check the date/time/timezone. But the clock is correctly setup (as written in my original message).The problem have been solved yesterday : I gave the customer an extension code (trial version), and he then activates the product correctly. Strange, I think the problem came from customer computer or installation files that were wrong (and tha he maybe reinstall in the meantime).I never saw such a weird case, despite using TA for years now. So lets close this case.

Best. Philippe
