Offline Activation Questions

I have a couple of questions regarding offline activation. In a test we did this afternoon we set up a product key with 2 activations. We did one online and one offline. Both worked successfully.

The online activation was shown in the product key control panel but the offline activation was not. This seems to be a serious lack of accountability! We would like to know how many times a given user has used the offline activation.

Is there a way that we can enable the panel to show manual activations as well?

Offline activations are shown in LimeLM.

Were the online & offline activation both for same computer? If you're activating the same computer (even if they're different sessions on the computer and you're using TA_USER), then LimeLM will only use one "activation slot".

Make sense?

The activation isn't a simple "counter", it uses the fingerprint of the computer. See: How hardware-locked licensing works

No. One activation was done on a Mac and other was done on a VM of Windows running on the same Mac. The VMEnvironment was completely shutoff from internet thus we had to go through the offline activation.

Our control panel only showed one activation for that product key. I would have expected two.

I stand corrected. Put it on a separate machine (not a VM) and the activation count incremented.

Regardless, is there a way to see which product keys were activated manually?

Not currently, no.
