Hackintosh

Hello, one of my customers is reporting that activation is not working properly on a Hackintosh. Am I correct in assuming that Hackintosh's don't work with TurboActivate?

This isn't a big deal since my app doesn't officially support Hackintosh, but I just want to be sure of what the issue is.

Thanks!

What do you mean "not working"? Do you mean TurboActivate detects it as a virtual machine? Or just that it doesn't run?

Hackintoshes are notoriously buggy because they're a collection of poorly tested drivers, on a poorly designed computer built with cheap parts. If they don't have a Mac machine they should either use Windows or Linux. TurboActivate works perfectly on all real Macs.

He reports that a few days after activating, it becomes deactivated again. He didn't tell me what specific error code he's getting, but I can ask him.

None of my other hundreds of Windows or Mac users have reported any problems like this, so I'm pretty sure it has to do with Hackintosh.

Anyway, so are you saying that it could very well be something specific to Hackintosh that causes TurboActivate to not work properly? Again, this is fine, but I just want to be sure.

Maybe. We haven't been able to reproduce this with genuine computers.
