User Interface for TurboFloat

Hi - I have managed to integrate TurboFloat and TurboActivate in my application. Unfortunately, I do not know much about license servers and setting them up. I have managed to get one setup on my local computer, but do not feel confident that I could walk a customer through that process. Is there a GUI that my customers can use, as opposed to the cmd prompt in order to configure the license server? Otherwise, would IT junkies at small and medium-sized companies be familiar enough with license servers that I would basically get zero phone calls about how to set it up? Any help is appreciated.

Hey Jason,

(Your licensing service is SPECTACULAR(!) by the way)

Thanks, that means a lot.

Is there a GUI that my customers can use, as opposed to the cmd prompt in order to configure the license server?

Not currently, but this is being worked on.

Otherwise, would IT junkies at small and medium-sized companies be familiar enough with license servers that I would basically get zero phone calls about how to set it up?

Yes. The installation of the TurboFloat Server is pretty straightforward:

1. Activate: TurboFloatServer.exe -a="ABCD-EFGH-IJKL-MNOP"2. Install: TurboFloatServer.exe -i

I know this is a super old topic, but I'm seriously considering moving all my licensing over to LimeLM for the next version of my software, but the one thing that would make it hard is the lack of a GUI for TurboFloat for all the Video Game and Post houses we have rocking on CodeMeter CmSticks LAN dongles with floating licenses currently.

They would want some basic UI with Start/Stop Process and a way to see how many licenses are running/available etc...Hope this User Interface for TurboFloat will come before our release in March....8)

Keep up the good work!

Steve

Hey Steve,

This is coming sooner rather than later. This isn't the top of our priorities list, but it's near the top. One of us will update this topic when we have a clearer idea of what the schedule looks like so we can give you a firm idea of when the release will happen.

Killer!Excited to hear this 8)

The IT guys will want to see their current licenses with product name and expiration dates etc..Plus a way to put in update codes to extend/manage those licenses directly from this server application with an offline activation option cuz many video game and post houses we supply software to are not connected to the internet nowadays.

cya!
