There's a bug in the 32-bit version of TurboFloat Server on 64-bit versions of Windows. Namely, you currently can't specify custom locations for the settings / pdets files. This has been fixed for the next version.
I successfully installed the server (which I have re-named) on my computer using an elevated prompt as follows:
ProductNameFloatServer.exe -i -pdets=productName_activate.dat -config=ProductNameFloatServer-config.xml
In the actual command line call I used my product name in place of "ProductName".
The install succeeded.
Then I tried to uninstall using the same elevated prompt, using the following command:
ProductNameFloatServer.exe -u
But I got the following errors:
2014-05-27, 18:14:13 <error>: Failed to load the product details file. 2014-05-27, 18:14:13 <error>: Failed to load the settings.
I'm not sure what I did wrong. I also tried the following, which resulted in the same errors:
ProductNameFloatServer.exe -u -pdets=productName_activate.dat -config=ProductNameFloatServer-config.xml

Yep, that was it. I used the 64-bit version and it appeared to work fine. Thanks.
Bump ... just ran into this myself in version 3.5.6 which I believe is the latest. Will the next version be out soon?Regards,Robin
Yes, this will be fixed in 3.5.8, out soon.
