WyUpdate.exe is asking to close Server tools while upgrade

Hi Guys,

We are trying to update our application using WyUpdate.exe the update begins and downloads the WYU. But after the download WyUpdate.exe asks the user to close ssh terminal(putty) and other server tools. Please help!!

Hey Mohtashim,

wyUpdate requires all *.exe files in the folder and all subfolders be closed before the update can be installed. You can work around that by arranging your folders to account for that fact.

ssh terminal software is not part of files/exes that are we are updating further the folder in which wyupdate is placed is different and none of the exes WyUpdate is requesting to close are in sub-folders.

You're not giving enough information. My guess is that the files wyUpdate is requesting to close are, in fact, in the same folder as wyUpdate, or in a subfolder. Otherwise wyUpdate doesn't care if an app is running or not.

If you give more information I might be able to help you fix your problem.
