After deactivation of VMware network interfaces it works just fine.
When I run TurboActivate on one of my laptops WinXP (32-bit x86), I get "You cannot activate inside a virtual machine or a hypervisor. Please use a real computer". The point is it this a real native XP and not a virtual instance. Could this be a false positive because VMWare is installed on this laptop?
Were all the interfaces VM interfaces? That is, did you not have a real wireless or a real ethernet hardware enabled?
I had a real interface active all the time. Just needed to deactivate the VMware ifaces. Perhaps it is possible to improve the virtual/hypervisor detection, but is not a big priority. Actually it is more a feature than a bug 🙂
Well, this is a false positive that shouldn't be happening. That is, you should be able to have VM interfaces on your "host machine" so long as you also have at least one real network interface. Can you shoot me an email at wyatt@wyday.com? I'll send you a tool to run on your machine (with the VM interfaces enabled) that will output some debug information that will help us solve this problem.
