What version of wyUpdate are you using? What version of the AutomaticUpdater? Are you using custom versions of either? If so, try using our versions.
wyUpdate is sometimes stuck on Checking Updates process
quocnguyenhi all,Currently, i'm using wyBuild for my application and it works fine but some customer complained that sometimes wyUpdate was stuck on 'Checking Updates', it didn't show any error although i wrote code to catch error/exception while updating via wyUpdate. They tried to re-open it but it was still stuck. I just can resolve this issue by suggest they to restart their machine. It's not too critical issue but really inconvenient. Currently more than 200+ customers are using my application with wyBuild that is updated daily.Customer's OS is all version of Windows: WinXP SP3(32 and 64), Win7 (32 and 64), Win8 (64).Please help me on this issue.Thanks
We can't reproduce this with the latest version.
What's the *wyUpdate* (not wyBuild) version included with your app (for this client that's reporting the problems). That is, have the user right click their wyUpdate.exe file, click Properties, then look at the version number.
Also, canceling the checking for updates and restarting the checking should fix the problem.
