Error trying to save file: Error downloading Unable to resolve remote host nameAnswered
Hello,
I'm using WyUpdate and I'm getting this error “Error trying to save file: Error downloading ”http://update.com/myproject/wyserver.wys" Unable to resolve remote host name ‘update.com’ .
Only on Windows 7 and Windows 8 OS, on Windows 10 and Windows 11 it works.
Any suggestions?

Answer
Windows 7 and 8 are no longer supported by Microsoft. So they're no longer receiving updates or support from MS.
But, no, I have no suggestions. If you're determined to support OS that MS doesn't support, attach a debugger to wyUpdate and see why thing are failing. Or use WireShark.
Updating to Windows 10 or 11 is the best solution. It solves this problem and a thousand other problems they either know or don't know they have.
