non-latin characters in Windows user name?Answered

Hi,

Some of our Windows customers report that the activation data does not persist on their machine, ie. activation is successful and we can see that in LimeLM, but once they restart the application, it shows up as unregistered. It only happens to a small number of users.

We've noticed that some of them have Windows user names with non-latin characters, such as å. Is this supported by LimeLM or would this cause problems with storing license data on their machine?

Answer

TurboActivate fully supports unicode. It also doesn't use or care about usernames.

Are they on a VM? If so, disallow VMs, and use TurboFloat.

Are you using the latest TA? If not, start there.
