Testing live (non-sandbox) Paypal account with fake buyer

I'd like to test my actual live web site with a fake Paypal buyer. Is this possible? It looks like I can create a fake buyer account using the Sandbox, but I can't get it to work with my live site. Am I misunderstanding how it works?

You can't use fake / sandbox accounts on live PayPal accounts. You can only use sandbox account on sandbox PayPal.
