A good place to start is the step-by-step walkthrough. It explains everything slowly and in-depth.

A good place to start is the step-by-step walkthrough. It explains everything slowly and in-depth.
Still not appear to me!I followed the steps and did not appear in the folder created versions!
Just asks me a file for each update that I create!
Folder is created only only 2. What is the "Updates" folder and the folder "wyUpdate2"
I need help please!Someone is available to help me?Appreciate immense
I'm not quite sure what you're asking. Are you asking who create the version folders? You do. And you put your files in those folders. And then, from those version folders, add the files to wyBuild.
I don't know what you're saying. Explain to me what is happening and explain to me what you expect to happen. Please be specific.
Well, I wyDay fill in the program explains how everything in the video demo. After a portion of the video shows that the program creates a folder created for each version (1.1 2.1 etc. ..) that only appears to me not me!
What appears to me is these folders and only this!
But as shown in the video should show me the folders created version!
Have you tried creating several versions, only those folders and files that are inside it do not appear! What am I doing wrong? Can you help me?
Ok, in that example we have manually created the version 1.1 and 1.2 folders. We put them in the same folders as the wyBuild project file (*.wyp file). You can put the version folders wherever you want.
Yes, but how and what I'll fuck it?Like, this folder has to be one. Dll and a program. Exe
Simply create a folder and copy?
In the step-by-step walkthrough, which step are you stuck on? The walkthrough tells you that you must create these folders and you must put your application files into these folders.
I'm not trying to be rude, but I'm not sure how we can explain that any clearer. Please don't skip any steps in the walkthrough. Follow each step.
I was able to do!But I have one question to ask, who do not quite understand!- When my application is updated, I want the icon that is in the work environment also updates itself! 😀
The icon of your application? You change that when you compile your app.
Yes my project type is portable but with the system Updates'll have to create an installer for it. Then how do I update when the program go a icon to the desktop?
Are you asking how to create a shortcut? Right click the exe file in wyBuild, click Create Shortcut, then drag that file to Current Desktop or common Desktop.
My program does the update, everything correctly, only the Icon it does not go to the desktop. I mean, it does nothing! The previous version calls for an update, I then I update it updates itself and does nothing. I wish it were possible it was an icon to the desktop and the program starts automatically after updating!
I need more information. Copy & paste the full error.
Well, it is not wrong! The problem is that I make the new version, only the program with the previous version, nothing appears to say that there is a new update!I do in the previous version "Search for new updates" and then asks me that message saying that there are still no new updates!I need help urgently please!
In wyBuild select the correct version number on the "Build wyUpdate" page, then click "Build wyUpdate" and include it with your app.
In BuildWyUpdate I then have to select the new version, and then the BuildUpdates I have to select the previous version?Well I did it and the version now found!
The version number is stored in the client.wyc file. It sounds like you tested an update, it succeeded, then you replaced your files expecting wyUpdate to somehow detect your old version was installed.
I got it!
Thanks for everything. But one more thing, my program is portable, which is located in the working environment, except that my program without the 2 update files it does not open or seek updates. Is there any way to make new updates when it updates the workplace and the two go to a log file on any pc? But the icon has access to those files since without them the program does not open!

Thanx
I really don't understand what you're asking. Are you asking how to check for updates when wyUpdate.exe and the client.wyc aren't included with your app? You can't. Include them.

Is not that exactly! For example, when the update makes the two files will wybuid to the desktop!Because I did not want ....You can not do when upgrading (or all of them do) these 2 files go to another folder?I've tried to create an executable program, just not me aparace to install!
Dear find a way to have these 2 files on the desktop without being
Are you asking how to create a shortcut on your desktop to your application?
Yes, and that 2 files go to any other place, but they are in contact, because the program is only open to have these files in the same folder!
To create a shortcut in wyBuild, right click the *.exe file in wyBuild, click "Create Shortcut" then drag that file to the folder you want (like Common desktop).
And then after the other 2 files (AutomaticUpdater.dll + AutomaticUpdater.php)?I do not want those files were for the desktop!
Why would you put those on the desktop? Install your files to a folder somewhere on the users computer (typically C:\Program Files\Your App) then create a shortcut to your app on the desktop.
I can make an executable for my program to ask when the update installs it automatically?
When I do "Create Shortcut" the icon of my program goes to the desktop, only after that when I click on it it says not found! I have to do to open the directory and select manual for the program to know the location of the folder where the files methyl!
Do you understand that you have to create the shortcut from within wyBuild? It sounds like you're creating a shortcut in Windows Explorer and dragging it to wyBuild and hoping that things somehow work out. It doesn't work like that
That is In wyBuild, right click the exe file (in wyBuild) and you'll have a popup menu. Click the "Create Shortcut" menu (you're still in wyBuild) and then the shortcut will appear. It won't look like your exe's icon, but that's just because we haven't implemented that feature. Don't worry it will look like your exe when everything is updated.
Then, still in wyBuild, drag the shortcut from the "Your program Files" folder to the "Common Desktop" folder.
I did not understand your explanation! For I am Portuguese, and English as endendo not had to go to google translator, he raduz me everything for the Brazilian and the other words not translated!

After I update, vai an icon to the desktop, so it will appear to have!Saying (no shortcut)
I have to select search and select your location manually!
If there is any maniera to solve this problem would like to know please!
Like I said, you're dragging the shortcut file from a file on disk. This is wrong. Create the shortcut from within wyBuild like I described 3 or 4 times already.
Also, put your main app files in the "Your program's files" folder (don't harcode it to the C:\ Windows root drive).
I did not realize!EXCUSE ask, but I'm not the translator is able to translate!
Can I take a Print of a picture to see how I have to do please? The translator is translating very badly, I do not understand half the words you're typing!
Google translate isn't doing a good job conveying my words. Unfortunately we don't have anyone that speaks Portuguese here. I don't think we'll be able to offer you useful support. My advice would be to hire someone who speaks both Portuguese and English.
Well, just missing me this problem the icon! Can I take a picture as I do to the power icon appear correctly? So it would be easier to understand!
If you can take a picture and put it here how do I give the correct icon was excellent ...
Help me please....
I've already explained it several ways. The problem isn't how I'm explaining it. The problem is the crummy translator you're using. Unfortunately what I'm saying is being lost in translation.
Which is why you need to hire someone who speaks your language and English.
