ExtendTrial not working in WindowsSolved

The ExtendTrial function doesn't appear to be working correctly on Windows XP (not sure about other operating systems). When I call ExtendTrial it returns 0 and the usage count on the server is incremented, but TrialDaysRemaining continues to return 0 for days remaining.

I'm using TurboActivate 3.1.2.

Do you have your system time correctly set? Try resetting the system time to the correct day and time (and timezone). Then restart your system. Then try extending your trials again.

The date and time and the timezone were correct so I restarted and tried again but I still get the same result. I'm trying to extend the trial after it has already expired...not sure if that makes a difference. Most likely it expired sometime before the beginning of this year. Is it possible that there's some problem with the switchover to the new year?

Ok, let me know if there's any more info I can provide that would help. I did find out from one of our users that the same thing happens before the trial expires as well (i.e. they enter the extension and it increments the server but the days remaining stays the same).

None of us can reproduce this here. Can you send me your TurboActivate.dat file (sent it to wyatt@wyday.com). And tell me the following:

  1. What version of TurboActivate are you using?
  2. What's the trial length you have for your version?
  3. What's the trial extension length / expiration date?

We haven't had any luck reproducing this problem. What happens when you try other trial extensions? Try an offline trial extension. Does that work?

We might have to remotely debug this for you. Are you free sometime Monday or later in the week?

We've found the bug and we're squeezing the fix into the TurboActivate 3.2 release. Thanks for spotting this, Seth.

It keeps getting pushed back for bigger releases & bug fixes. But, yes, this is coming. We know it's an issue and that you (and others) want this.

TurboActivate 3.2 is now out (this bug is fixed).

You guys released the day after this and I just noticed now. Really not asking for more than a mailing list notification. There's nothing to code. Just an email when a version drops.
