Problem upgrading from LAN

Hi,I am using wyUpdate in a LAN environment and I have a problem with one of the PCs.I am launching wyUpdate specicying update path and server which point to a share on a LAN machine that hosts the updates. All PCs in the LAN logon onto a domain, and for these everything works fine.

But there's one PC which doesn't log on and simply accesses the update server via a public share on the updates server. What happens is that this PC can check for updates fine: wyUpdate.exe correctly indicates if there's an update, which means it can access the share without problems. However when wyUpdate.exe tries to install the update, it fails indicating bad username or password, and I assume this is to access the share where it downloads the patches from.

So I don't understand why is wyUpdate.exe successful in checking if there's an update but not able do install it?I launch wyUpdate.exe from the application using the process class, and even tried setting user credentials that have access to the mentioned share, but it sill fails with the same error.

Any help?

Thanks

Probably a user identity issue.

when checking for updates, it runs non-elevated.when applying updates, it is running elevated.

Elevated or not changes what drive mappings are visible.

Sorry to be vague, but it's probably something along those lines...

Mordachai is right. Unfortunately there's not enough information to know exactly what's wrong. If the user can successfully check for updates that means they can successfully download the *.wys file. It sounds like the *.wyu files are failing to download.

Are you storing these files in separate locations? Also, can you copy and paste the full error wyUpdate give you?
